Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 1159

The doctor told them that while Rebecca was fine last night, they found a blood clot in her artery this morning. Although they tried their best to save her, they eventually failed.

Everyone in the ward was crying and blaming themselves.

Outside the ward, Aurora and Angie were heaving a sigh of relief as they went to a secluded corner.

"Well done, Angie! We're both safe now," Aurora said.

Angie agreed. "Yeah, I finally feel relieved. It's great that the old woman is now dead!"

Angie stretched her arms out and yawned.

"Don't forget what you promised me! When you become Theo's wife, we'll share him."

Angie couldn't wait to be intimate with Theodore.

Aurora patted the back of Angie's hand. "But of course! We're sisters. I won't let the good stuff go to outsiders. Even without you, he'll have other women elsewhere. The two of us will have Theo eating out of our hands. We'll share in each other's success and failure."

"Yes, indeed," Angie said happily, foolish naivety in her eyes.

Aurora smiled, her eyes flashing with a wicked glint.

What right did Angie have to ask to share Theodore? She should look into the mirror instead and ask if she's fit to be with Theodore!

Just like that, Rebecca left the world.

The Spencers were brokenhearted, but they had to face up to reality and begin funeral preparations.

On the third day, many people attended the memorial service. The Spencers thanked all the attendees for coming, including Sebastian, Yvonne, and even Christopher.

When Sebastian approached Rosalie, she shook his hand as a form of courtesy.

Sebastian noticed how she seemed to have lost weight overnight. Concerned, he said, "Rose, talk to me if you're troubled."

"Thank you," Rosalie said without even lifting her head. She added flatly, "Please head in."

Sebastian said nothing further and headed in.

Meanwhile, Christopher walked toward Sydney. The wounds on her face hadn't fully recovered, but she covered them up with concealer so they weren't that visible.

Upon knowing that her mother-in-law had passed, Sydney rushed home in three days.

"My condolences, Mrs. Spencer."

Sydney nodded. "Thank you."

She had turned rather cold toward Christopher.

Wesley glared at Christopher with animosity, but he knew his mother's funeral wasn't the place to flare up.

Christopher remained unfazed by Wesley's glare and instead sent him a genuine look of apology before heading in.

After Christopher walked off, Wesley turned to ask Sydney, "Have you been with him these days?"

"I don't need to explain things to you. I've already made things clear over the phone," Sydney said coldly. "I don't want to fight with you here." Wesley tried to fight the anger burning in his heart. "I'm taking a break. I'll come back soon."

In the lounge, Wesley pulled out a cigarette and started puffing on it.

His mother just passed away and his relationship with his wife was in tatters, while his wife's lover appeared so blatantly at the funeral. He was about to go mad.

Just then, he heard a voice calling him. "Godfather."NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.

Wesley saw Yerick approaching him, and immediately stood up. "Yerry, you're here!"

"I'm here to see you. You must be very upset right now. I don't really know what to say to comfort you, because + know it's pointless. I was in a lot of pain when my mom died, too. Nothing anyone said comforted me."

Wesley lowered his head as tears welled up in his eyes. "Thank you, Yerry."

"Godfather," Yerick said as he

wrapped his arm around Wesley,

patting the latter's back gently. "You can come to me if you're upset. I can keep you company, have a meal, chat or do whatever you want with you Please don't keep your feelings to yourself."

"Thank you, Yerry. Thank you."

Wesley hugged his son back, finally feeling slightly comforted.

The corner of Yerick's lips lifted in a cold smirk. Wesley had no idea that this illegitimate son of his, who looked kind and sensible on the outside, was in fact the culprit who caused Rebecca's death.

At this moment, Theodore walked in to see Wesley and Yerick locked in an embrace.

"Dad," he began, frowning.
