Chapter 37 Golden Designer
Chapter 37 Golden Designer
A scream rang out in the office when Rosa finished her words. Everyone stood up and piled snacks all
over the table.
Becca was shocked. Then piles of colorful ribbons fell down on her.
"Welcome, cuties!" Rosa stretched her arms playfully. But it was unexpectedly silent. She turned
around slowly and saw Becca, who had been decorated like a Christmas tree.
"Oh!" Rosa was also shocked, and rushed to her rescue, "What's wrong with this, my setting is letting
the ribbons flying all over the sky! How come it all fell on you?"
Becca cleared up for herself for a while.
(This Rosa looks shrewd and competent. But actually she is funny!) ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
"Becca, are you okay?" Janet also rushed over to help. Becca was stained with sticky ribbons. They
tidied up for a long time to get clean.
"Everyone goes and sit down. You must be tired after visiting our company. Enjoy yourselves and let's
chat." Rosa pointed at the conference table.
Becca patted his clothes and was about to go to her seat. Then she saw the door of the conference
room was pushed open again.
Bill stood at the door. Becca was surprised why he was here. The person behind him had already taken
the initiative to walk up.
Laura Garcia was wearing a red dress with delicate makeup. She walked up to where Becca was
standing just now with a sweet smile.
"Ms. Gates," Bill smiled at Rosa, "Excuse me, this is the one that Mr. Lewis has talked about, Laura
Garcia. She will join your team as a golden designer."
Everyone in the room was excited after hearing it.
The golden designer is to go through strict selections to come up. How did Laura make it?
"Hi, I’m Laura. Nice to meet you guys." Laura greeted to everyone.
Becca clenched her fists. She did not expect Kelvin had arranged so cleverly, letting them work in the
same place. But their titles were so different.
After noticing Becca, Laura raised her chin arrogantly.
"Welcome, Laura!" Rosa didn't make a fuss. She led the applause.
Everyone followed the applause except for Becca. Janet bumped her body and implied her to applaud.
She then reluctantly clapped twice.
Laura arrogantly stood up straight. However, before she could properly show off with Becca, a large
pile of ribbons poured down on her head for some reason.
Everyone in the room fell silent again, watching Laura also being hung like a Christmas tree.
"What?" Rosa was shocked again, "How come it happens again?"
Becca hold back her laughter. Red dress with a pile of ribbons is more spectacular than hers.
Rosa began to tidy up for Laura. Laura was not as arrogant as before. She was annoyed by being
tricked. But she cannot express her anger since Rosa is her boss.
"Let me go to the restroom." Laura carried the hem of her skirt and walked out.
After she left, Becca sat down in her seat.
Bill exited the conference room and Rosa returned to her seat. The conference room was harmonious.
Everyone introduced themselves one by one.
Becca realized that the empty room of the golden designer is prepared for Laura.
She was annoyed. (Why Laura can be a golden designer? She even doesn’t have a bachelor’s
degree.)
But how could she tell it to everyone? She could join the company because of Becca herself. Kelvin
had to arrange her to be here because he wanted to cover her miscarriage.
"Becca, your surname is also Garcia. Are you two sisters?" A bronze designer sitting opposite Becca
asked.
It made both Laura and Becca surprised.
"How is it possible." Becca denied, "I also think it's miraculous. But she is a golden designer. If we are
sisters, then why I am just an ordinary intern?"
"That’s right." everyone agreed.
After all, in Heyday, the golden designer is already equivalent to a supervisor. If they are sisters, how
can they not help each other.
After finishing the meeting, Becca had a preliminary knowledge of everyone. She went back to the third
floor with several newcomers and found her place according to the number plate.
"Wow, Becca, I can be at the same table with you again." Janet sat next to Becca, with only a partition
between them.
Becca also smiled, she put the roster on the table. She filled in with her sister’s name in the vacant
place of roster.
Laura is the golden designer.
She accepted this fact, deciding to replace her one day.
At noon, Becca and Janet went to the restaurant. Janet was thinking about the roast meat which they
haven’t finished yesterday. She was surprised when seeing the vegetables on the table.
"This is inhumane. There is no meat at all!" Becca was more surprised than Janet.
She is a carnivore. It’s killing her.
What’s wrong with Kelvin? Is he planning to starve the whole Heyday?
Although she doesn't like vegetables, she can't go hungry all day. Becca reluctantly ordered two
dishes.
The two girls' faces were wrinkled at the two plates of vegetables. Janet had the same preference as
her. They are meat lovers.
In the chairman's office, Kelvin was staring at the computer screen.
The screen is the restaurant monitoring screen. He was watching at Becca’s and Janet's bitter faces.
When there is no choice, she will naturally choose to follow the destiny.
Kelvin smiled.
"Master Lewis," Bill knocked on the door and walked in.
"I’ve already spoken to Ms. Gates as you instructed."
Kelvin leaned back in the back of his chair, staring at the computer screen.
"But..." Bill wanted to say something but stopped.
"Ms. Gates is a generous person. But other people still have quite a few words about it. Even Mr. Alan
Lewis has come to ask about the relationship between you and Laura..."
Seeing Becca finally stuffing the vegetable into her mouth, Kelvin closed the screen and closed his
eyes.
''How come that he started to care about those stuffs?"
Bill lowered his head, "After all, Mr. Henry Lewis has just announced your marriage to Miss Moore. He
wants you to avoid scandals. You know that Miss Moore has a bad temper..."
Kelvin laughed with a low voice, "I am the chairman of Heyday. Do I need to be careful when promoting
someone?"
Bill didn’t answer. He knows that Kelvin is a calm and reasonable person. There must be some reasons
for it.
Kelvin sat up straight and pressed a key on the phone.
"Ms. Harris, order a bouquet of roses for me and send it to Garcia in building number three." He
recalled the annoyed face of Becca and couldn't help smiling again. "Tell her that welcome to
Heyday."
