Chapter 45: Do You Think That I Will Care About It?

He squeezed out the words from between his teeth and tightened his grip on her waist. She forced her

to walk to the woman who was curling up herself beside the rails of the bridge.

Lawrence let go of Charlotte. He then grabbed the woman’s hair and pulled her towards Charlotte and

then removed her mask.

“Have a clearer look. Is she Evelyn Wilson?”

Charlotte was dumbfounded and abruptly looked up at the woman.

When the woman’s hat and mask were removed by Lawrence, her face was exposed. Her figure and

profile were similar to Evelyn’s, but she was not her! Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Charlotte trembled in shock and felt like all her body was rushing towards her brain.

“How could it be possible?” Charlotte mumbled.

She looked at the unfamiliar woman in disbelief, feeling hard to accept the truth. At the next moment,

she walked forward like an insane and grabbed the woman’s collar and forced her to get up from the

ground.

“How could this be possible? Why do you masquerade as Evelyn Wilson? Where’s she?”

The woman looked at Charlotte with her eyes widened. When seeing that Charlotte’s car that was

speeding towards her was stopped by Lawrence, the fear in her eyes gradually disappeared. She

curled up her lips into a triumphant smile.

“Of course I’m not Evelyn because the real Evelyn has left the country several hours ago. Miss Garcia,

you will not be able to find her for the rest of your life. Before leaving the country, she gave me a large

sum of money. If I hadn’t made full preparation, would you be convinced?”

“Miss Garcia, stealing was not that serious, but deliberating hitting a person with your car was a

criminal offence. I recorded it just now…”

Before she could finish her words, Lawrence landed a hard kick on her. With a loud sound, the woman

dashed against the rails and spit out a mouthful of blood. She passed out instantly.

Lawrence knitted his brows tightly. As he had used great force just now, the wound on his leg opened

up again. It looked like he was trying to withstand the pain.

He turned around and gazed at Charlotte, whispering, “Lotta.”

But Charlotte acted like she hadn’t heard it. Lowering her head, she looked at the unconscious woman

with a stunned look, feeling quite heartbroken and beginning to shed tears, “Why isn’t she Evelyn

Wilson?”

“She caused the deaths of my father and my brother and committed many crimes. I’ve put in great

efforts, trying to take revenge on her. But in the end, she ran away and I will be accused of intentional

murder. Why?” She almost killed a stranger just now.

Charlotte felt despairing and anguished.

Despair and anguish were like a vine plant and engulfed Charlotte in an instant.

“Did I offend anyone? Or did I really do something wrong?”

Lawrence stood on the spot silently, feeling quite distressed for her when he saw the sorrow on her

face.

It had been five years.

She had been confined in a dark world for five years. When she was free, her families passed away.

Right at this moment, Charlotte was utterly despairing and there was no trace of pursuit in her eyes.

Charlotte Garcia shouldn’t be like this.

“Lotta.”

Lawrence closed his eyes, trying to get rid of the strong waves of dizziness. He took a step forward,

slowly reached out his hand towards her and said in a husky voice, “I will deal with everything. I won’t

let anything bad happened to you.”

Nevertheless, Charlotte hurriedly dodged his hand like she was escaping from an epidemic. Fixing her

eyes on him, she sneered, “Lawrence Harris, do you think that I will still care about this now?”

After finishing her words, she turned around and walked towards the house without even sparing a

glance at him.

Lawrence didn’t chase after her.

A couple of seconds later, Charlotte her a loud noise from behind.
