Today was Ella’s judgement day, at the end of the court proceedings, the court ruled that Ella should be remanded in jail while further and intense investigation continues. The judge could have sentenced Ella to more than two lifetimes in prison since she commited murder but this was all thanks to Alexander Bell’s lawyer. He spoke elequently but still couldn’t convince the judge that Ella didn’t commit the murder.

The judge then ruled for the case to be adjourned until the 30th of the following month. At the end, Ella found herself back in the cell. Curling herself around a corner of the cell, she couldn’t help but cry. It was true that she had an argument with her ex boyfriend and even threatened him but she would never kill him.

Amelia? Why would Amelia wants to see her? She stood upright and said, “okay, let me see her.”

The gate of the cell was opened and she was lead to the visitor’s hall. She soon sat before Amelia, “you must be happy to see me like this, right?” Ella was so sure that Amelia was the one behind her predicament. Afterall, it was after she threatened her that she was arraigned for murder.

“Of course not. You were the one who imwas being stubborn but it’s not too late. In the next court proceedings, without concrete evidence, the judge is definitely sentencing you to a lifetime in jail, you know this, right?”

Amelia added, “I just need you to corporate with me and let’s drive Ella away from NewYork.”

“Even if you successfully chase her out of NewYork, she can always come back,” Ella said.

“We aren’t just going to send her away, we will destroy her reputation and force her to leave NewYork or we could just sent her to jail.”

“You and who? I would never be a part of your evil plan. And trust me, I’ll get out of here,” Ella said.

Amelia smirked, “I can get you evidences that can vindicate you of your crime but if you are still being stubborn, then don’t ever blame me for the years you will be spending in jail.” Afterwards, Amelia stood.

“Hold on!” Ella quickly spoke then Amelia sat back. “Ella, Let’s not waste eachother’s time, just agree with me and let me get you out of here.”

“What makes you think that after I’m out of here, I’ll help you,” Ella said.

“Cause I won’t be too foolish to vindicate you totally, you will be out l, yes, but your case will still be in court. Just in case you don’t fulfill your own end of the deal, I can always send you back to jail.” Amelia said.

Ella couldn’t help but wonder how despicable Amelia is.

“Good.” Amelia sat upright and began to explain the plan to her, after she was done, she asked, “will you do it?”

A couple of days later, Lily was busy with her laptop when a call suddenly canye through on her phone. Seeing that the caller ID was Ella, she furrowed her brow. Was someone using Ella’s number to call her? She thought but answered the call nonetheless.

“Lily, I’m out,” Ella’s voice came through.

Lily couldn’t believe her ears, “are you telling the truth?”

“Surprised, huh?” Ella chuckled from the other end, “I’m at home, you may come and verify.”

Lily immediately stood from the bed and changed into an outfit. Can this be true? She was at court when the judge upheld for Ella to be remanded in prison while the investigation continues.

Soon, Lily walked out of the house, just as she sat inside her car, about to start the ignition of the car, she heard a knock on her window.

Looking through the window, she saw the butler of the house, she lowered the window and set her gaze on him, wondering what he wants.

“Ma, I’ve not heard from Mr. Bell for a while now, I tried contacting his assistant but they wouldn’t answer the call, I’m just a little bit worried.” The butler said.

Lily had also noticed his absence lately but since he’s a business man who could be attending meeting anywhere, Lily assumed that he was busy but seeing that even the butler have no idea of his whereabout, she became a little bit troubled. No matter how much she hates him, he was still the father of her children.

“I have no idea too but I’ll look into it,” she said.

“Please do,” then the butler walked away.

Lily started the ignition of the car and began to drive. She thought about Drake Bell for a while then switched her thought to Ella who seemed to have miraculously escaped from prison. She couldn’t wait to find out what actually happened to her.

Soon, she parked before Ella’s house and stepped down. She then walked glamorously to the door and knocked but there was no response coming forth. She knocked again but no response was coming forth.

She then dialed her number in an attempt to let her know that she was here but she suddenly felt something hit her head and she went blank. When she opened her eyes, she saw Amelia holding a knife to her neck.

“Amelia?” Lily called in shock. It dawned on her that she had been tied to the chair she was made to sit on. “What in the world are you trying to do?”

“What does it look like? Trying to kill you of course,” Amelia responded and pressed the knife to her neck, a little bit of blood spilled. Lily felt death flash across her face. If she dies, who would be the mother of her kids?

“Please… don’t kill me,” Lily begged helplessly as she felt the sharp metal blood across her neck. “Please Amelia. Just tell me what you want.”

Amelia slapped her hard across her face and said, “as if you don’t know what I want. Stop fucking pretending!”

Lily quickly processed her words and said, “are you trying to kill me cause I didn’t leave Drake Bell’s villa?”

“Precisely because you did not leave his life. Since you decide to stand as an obstacle between Drake Bell and I then don’t blame me for killing you.”

Lily didn’t know that Amelia was as desperate as this.

“Once I kill you, you won’t be an obstacle anymore and I’ll be able to live my life with Drake Bell.” Amelia added.

“I’ll leave, just let me go,” Lily said.

Lily’s mind then trailed to Ella. Wasn’t it Ella that called her telling her to come to her house? Only for her to be kidnapped here or did Amelia pretended to be Ella.

“Lily, I will give you three days to move out of Drake Bell’s villa and never appear in his sight again. You already see what I’m capable of, I won’t spare you next time. Don’t dare me!” Afterwards, Amelia walked away.

Then some men came and free Lily from the chair she was tied to. Soon, she was dragged inside the car and in a few minutes, she was dropped in an empty road.

Lily sighed. She needs to speak to Drake Bell about this. If he can’t protect her then she must leave immediately. She can’t let Amelia hurt her or her kids. While walking through the empty street, the cloud formed and the rain began to pour.

There were only bushes left and right so there was no where she can hide. She can only endure the rain falling heavily on her body.

Most of the cars passing by didn’t stop at all, all of a sudden, a car parked right beside her.

“Come in!” A voice spoke from inside.

Lily recognized the voice. She immediately stepped inside the car and continued to shiver in cold. She mumbled as she curled her two hands around her body, “thank you.”
