Betrothed To The Mafia Lord

Chapter 367

Chapter 367

Sofia’s pov

My heart beat accelerated a thousand folds as I felt Luca’s firm grip around my wrist. His grip made me

instantly half in a single spot as I gulped emptily. I glanced up at him after a moment to lock eyes with

him, and unsurprisingly, his gaze was way more intense than it was before.

I averted my gaze after a moment, feeling like all my feelings were currently being exposed to him. I felt

vulnerable in a way, and I hated that feeling so much right now, because I wasn’t sure of what was

currently happening between Luca and I, or where I stand in his life.

I tried to pull my wrist out of his grip after a few more moments of silence had passed, but his grip was

still firm around mine, making me swallow emptily once again.

“Um, please let me go.” I mumbled without glancing up at him, not wanting him to see my face because

I knew how I tend to reveal everything I was feeling on my face, and I didn’t want to do that right now to

avoid feeling more vulnerable that I currently am.

“No.” He responded and I swallowed emptily once again. My breath hitched in my throat when he

inched closer to me as he continued to speak.

“I can’t do that right now, I don’t want to let go of you.”

I blinked rapidly and swallowed continuously to clear the lump that had formed in the middle of my

throat before opening my mouth to speak.

“Oh, um–” I began, even though I wasn’t sure of what I was going to say. He cut me off almost

immediately.

“Bunny…”

I shook my head before he could get past the first word, glancing up at him instantly. “You don’t have to

refer to me as that if you don’t want to, I don’t mind you calling me by my actual name.” This content © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

Luca inched even closer to me and I swallowed emptily, feeling trapped.

“But I want to.” He responded softly and I pursed my lips as I gave him a couple of nods, even though I

didn’t believe him.

“What did you wanted to say to me?” I bit my lip for a minute before continuing. “You can just say

whatever it is that you were about to say, I won’t mind, whatever it is.”

Luca appeared conflicted for a moment and the more I stared at him, the more conflicted I became,

and the more I stood there, a few inches away from him, with my wrist trapped in his hand, the more

vulnerable and trapped I felt.

I haven’t felt this way in front of Luca in a really long time, but now that I wasn’t sure of what was

currently happening between the both of us, I couldn’t help but feel vulnerable in front of him.

A small gasp escaped my lips when Luca suddenly closed the distance between us till only a breath of

space remained between the both of us.

“Bunny, can I hug you?” He asked, voice quiet as he spoke. His eyes held so much intensity and as I

stared into it, it felt like I was going to sink into it any moment from now.

Afraid that I was going to do something stupid like to burst into tears incase i attempt to speak, I decide

against that and nodded my head my head a little in response to him.

A moment later and Luca was closing the tiny space between us, tugging me into his arms and

bracketing my entire body against his body. I buried my head in his chest and sucked in a deep breath,

breathing in his familiar and really comforting scent as I gripped his suit lapels tightly. When his hands

banded across my waist and his head got buried in my hair, I couldn’t stop myself from literally melting

against his body.

The tension in my veins bleeded out a little as I slide my arms around his waist and hugged him tightly

against me.

I wasn’t sure of anything that was currently happening between the both of us, but this hug felt really

nice and I couldn’t even deny it.

It wasn’t like Luca dosent hug me any longer after that night that he began to arrive home late, because

he does. But, most times I have to be the one to initiate it, and that made me get into my head a little–

making me began to feel a little bit insecure.

“I’m so sorry about all of these, bunny.” Luca’s voice was deep but low as he spoke, whispering the

words into my hair as he spoke. I tightened my grip around him as he spoke, sinking deeper into the

hug as his words sank into my head.

I finally pulled out of the hug and his hands left my back to slide over my arm, leaving goosebumps

behind as his arm slide upwards till they settle over my upper arm.

“I promise to make things right, okay?” He murmured and I blinked up at him before slowly nodding my

head at him. The lump was back in my throat once again and I swallowed emptily as I averted my gaze

for the hundredth time tonight.

“I’m so sorry, Bunny. I swear I am, please believe me.” He said once again, hands tightening on my

arms. I blinked up at him with furrowed brows.

“But, why are you sorry? What happened?” I asked and he grew silence, eyebrows furrowed. “What are

you apologizing for?” I continued, wanting to get to the bottom of whatever this is at all cost.

One of Luca’s hands loosened from my arm to rake through his hair for a moment.

“I’m sorry but I can’t tell you yet, but I’m working on making things right between us once again, okay?”

He responded, voice raw with honesty and sounding really earnest.

I remained silent, biting on my bottom lip as his words sank into my head.

“I promise, okay?” He murmured, thumb rubbing into my skin.

I shivered a little as I nodded my head.

“Okay.”
