Betrothed To The Mafia Lord

Chapter 324

Chapter 324

James pov

The girl who was sent from hell, who still had her mouth gapping open like a fish that was struggling to

breathe, like it was taking her ages to process the fact that she had just ruined my outfit and that it was

a very bad thing entirely to be on the receiving end of my anger. It was like everything snapped into

places for her in the next second because she was scrambling to her feet and hurrying towards me,

with eyes widened like saucers.

She barely glanced up at me and instead went straight to my ruined inner shirt and then she began –

she began to scrub her hands which I noticed were trembling, against my inner shirt. A part of hands

that was covered in dirt and also – blood?

She was only making matters worse, my burnt brown inner white shirt was now w dirt brown and coffee

brown, along with different smear of blood seeing as she kept on scrubbing at the shirt, like even if her

hands were clean, it was going to be possible to get to coffee stains out of it that way.

I was angry beyond imagination and the fact that it seems like she still hadn’t noticed that she was only

making matters worse for my already ruined outfit, only made me angrier. And that was when I realized

that she was speaking quietly about how sorry she was for ruining my shirt.

As if any apology in this world was going to be enough of an apology.

“Enough.” I muttered around a scowl. The fact that she was trembling like a leaf when it wasn’t like she

she was being hit or something, was only getting me more irritated. I had zero time for stuff like this,

and I hated that something like this was happening to me today of all days. NôvelDrama.Org content rights.

“I said enough.” I spoke up once again, a little louder this time. She glanced up at me this time as her

hands froze on my chest and stomach, and that was when I noticed that she was also crying. Why the

fuck would she be crying in a situation like this? I’m the distressed one here and not her for heaven’s

sake.

I scowled darkly at her in irritated and tried not to stare st the tears continuously sliding down her

cheeks, and then I made to speak once again.

“Are you freaking dumb as well as being clumsy as hell? I said to let go of my shirt.” I said loudly and

faintly noticed that I was already attracting a little bit of unwanted attention and crowd, which was just

great. Very great and fantastic.

She jolted a little and to my outrage, went right back to scrubbing her hand over my shirt as more tears

slide down her cheeks, as she spoke quietly but I was able to make out the words well. “I-I’m so sorry

for ruining your shirt, so, so sorry, let me just clean…”

I had no idea of how or when my anger got to this particular moment, but the next thing I knew was that

I was thundering at her to let go off my shirt just as I wrenched it out of her hand. And it was as if

something had happened which I wasn’t aware of, seeing as I had been staring at her throughout and

was supposed to have known it something – anything had happened.

What happened next had been so unexpected that it had completely caught me off guard. One moment

I was thundering at her to let go of my shirt in a loud and angry voice, and in the next moment, she was

staring at me wide eyed for a fleeting moment – before she was collapsing into a faint.

I was still yet to grasp how that was even possible, because it wasn’t like I had hit her or even shove

her angrily – God forbid I do any of that to a woman.

I had thankfully moved fast and had been able to catch her in my arms right before she had hit the

grounds, and I stood there, feeling angry as hell, confused and perplexed, with a complete stranger in

my arms who had fainted for reasons I had no idea of.

A part of me thought of this stranger being one of those overdramstic people that could fake a faint, but

her head only wobbled around when I tried to shake her awake and even threatened to drop her in the

puddle of coffee still on the floor where I was still standing in, but she didn’t rouse, proving that she had

indeed fainted.

I glanced around me and watched as people who had been previously standing around scrambled

away like they hadn’t just be recording all that had taken place with their eyes and brains.

I glanced around for another moment and stared back at the stranger in my arms, just as I heard a

voice behind me that proved that it was one of the people working here. I asked if she knew who the

stranger that was still in my arms was, and the person responded with a no, which left me with two

options.

To either leave her hear in the arms of the workers here, or to take her to the hospital like I knew was

the right thing to do here – coupled with the fact that there are currently onlookers, and it won’t be cool

if I left the stranger here and appear like a monsters to the onlookers – which I most definitely wasn’t.

With an irritated sigh leaving my mouth and a permanent scowl marring my face, I reassured the waiter

I was going to be taking her to the hospital. The waiter apologized on the stranger’s behalf and offered

to make my another coffee on the house, but I declined it because I was beyond pissed and in no

mood for a coffee any longer.

With another sigh leaving my mouth, I turned around and existed the coffee shop, with the stranger still

cradled in my arms.

My day has officially been ruined and the meeting I had spent months getting readied, was definitely no

longer going to hold today.

Fuck my life.
