Bestfriend Divorced Me When I Carried His Baby (Kelly and Pierce)

Forgiveness...

Forgiveness... Kelly's POV

The doctor assured me that the baby inside me is safe. When the doctor visited me, I asked her about the baby even if Pierce already told about it. Another doctor, a gyne, prescribed me vitamins and told me about the things I should do like exercise. After my heart to heart talk with Pierce, I fell asleep and woke up with a delicious scent of food. I saw Pierce preparing the food while standing in front of the bedside table.

He glanced at me and smiled when he saw me looking, "You're hungry?"

I nodded and smiled back. "Yes."

He finished preparing the food and sat on the bed beside me. He helped me sit on the bed before he started feeding me. He was also feeding himself using the same spoon and I couldn't help but stare at him.

"Mom called," Pierce said while we're eating. "Snow's enjoying her school. I guess we just have to let her finish her schooling there and just bring her here every summer."

I smiled and nodded at him. "That's a good idea. It's better for her to stay there since the environment here won't help her. The news about the mess is still circulating around. I don't want her to get affected by what happened."Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

"That's what I thought too."

We continued eating. After that, I rested again and asked Pierce to lay on the bed beside me. We slept next to each other. I slept peacefully next to him while hugging his waist. When I opened my eyes again, Pierce was still sleeping peacefully and someone was sitting on the chair beside the bed on my side.

"Sara..."

It looked like she's falling asleep while sitting but when she heard my voice, she lifted her face and looked at me. She sighed while staring at my face. I don't know what she's thinking but the calmness in her eyes comforted me.

"You looked like your mom when she was your age."

I smile curved in my lips. "Dad said too."

Finally, she gave me a smile but it turned into a bitter one. "I'm sorry..."

I took a deep breath. "You didn't do anything."

"That's why I'm sorry. I'm sorry because I didn't do anything."

I swallowed hard.

Forgiveness. Is it always hard to give to people who just don't deserve it that's why it's hard to give? Sara didn't do anything. She was victim too. She was manipulated by her own brother and fooled by her husband. Her husband only wants her wealth and I know now that she discovered it already.

Sára sniffed and looked down, staring at her fingers. "I was blinded by my love for my husband. I even tried to... cover him up. If not for Mason...I wouldn't be here asking for forgiveness."

"We were all wounded and manipulated by the same person, Sara. You're not at fault."

She lifted her face and looked at me. "You are brave and smart like your mom and I envy her for having a daughter like you.'

Forgiveness...

I smiled at her. "You can be a mother to my children, Sara. I'm not kicking you out of my life. I actually want you to meet my family. I want you to feel my daughter's embrace and experience her love." She sobbed as tears pooled in the corner of her eyes. "I'd love that!"

I extended my arm to reach for her. She looked hesitant but in the end, she extended her arm too and held my hand. She laughed and sobbed again as soon as our hands met. Her hands were warm, soft and comforting. She's the sister of my mother and I could feel my mother's touch from her which made me tear up. Tears rolled down my cheeks completely as I stared at our hands.

"Thank you for saving me and for accepting me, Kelly. I promise you that I will stay by your side and you won't be alone anymore. I will fulfill the duties of the family that failed to protect your mother. You will be loved more than you deserve."

I nodded and smiled at her. She pulled herself up and went to me. She hugged me tight and I buried my face in her chest, letting out the longing I have for my mother.

I noticed that Pierce was awake when he moved and sat on the bed. He was looking at us with a smile on his face. He's happy for me and I know that he supports whatever my decision is and I want to forgive Sara. I want to forget everything that happened in the past and live a brand new life with my family.

Sara pulled away from the hug and wiped my tears before she wiped her wet cheeks. "I'm gonna talk to

Mason and will check on Matt."

I nodded at her. "Thank you...auntie."

She paused and stared at me with parted lips before saw different emotions crossed in her eyes. She smiled again and nodded before she hugged me again. She left after that and I looked at Pierce with a more light feeling in my heart. Forgiveness may be hard but once you give it to the person who deserves it, it will free you from the pain and suffering. It will make you feel better. It will give you peace.

My stay in the hospital didn't last long. After almost a week of staying in the hospital, I was finally discharged. Just like what I said, I visited Klay. I told him all the pain he inflicted in me. I told him how I loved him but he disappointed me. And in the end, I told him that I forgive him. It wasn't easy. Forgiving the person who hurt you so badly and injured your heart is not easy. I had to think about it over and over again before I came to the decision of forgiving him because just like what I said...forgiveness will free us from the pain. "You don't have to worry about me because I'm happy," I said while staring at Klay's picture. Beside his picture frame were his mothers.

Actually, I also want to transfer my mom and dad's ashes here. I want to put them in the same place together so I can visit them together all the time.

Pierce was standing beside me, holding my hand again. We were about to leave when I spotted someone visiting her loved ones too.

My lips parted when our gazes met but her blank eyes didn't recognize mè.

Emily got discharged before me and she didn't regain her memories at all. The doctor said it may take time but he also said that it may not come back anymore. I don't know if it's a good thing or not. She already lost a child before and if she learned that she lost another child, she'd be devastated. But... without her memories, her life would be tied to her painful past. A man appeared behind her. Emily took her sunglasses down and angrily looked at Matt who's smiling at her from ear to ear.

"What are you doing here, you stalker?"

Forgiveness...

Matt smiled even more.. "I'm stalking you. What else?"

Matt doesn't want to let her go and even if she doesn't remember him, he's patient. He didn't dare tell her about their relationship anymore but I know that he's not giving up on her.

Another man appeared, looking so badass with his black leather jacket, a total opposite of Matt who's wearing white dress shirt and black slacks.

Mason's still guilty about what happened to Emily. He's now taking care of her, following her around and keeping her safe. I don't know what's the deal between the three of them but I'm happy that even if Emily doesn't remember me, she has two people who care for her. Pierce's arm wrapped around my waist, earning my attention. I looked up at him and smiled. "Let's go?"

He nodded and kissed my temple. "Hmm! I booked a reservation at a restaurant."

Before leaving, I glanced at Emily, Mason and Matt once again. They're arguing but I'm happy because I know that my cousins will protect my friend and will keep her safe all the time. I just hope that if ever her memories come back, she'll forgive herself and live the happy life she deserves.
