Back in Time: Unshackling From Love (Mikayla Davidson)

Chapter 79

Chapter 79

As soon as Mikayla entered the room, Amy hurried over.

“Mrs. Miller, your aunt is here. She’s in the kitchen preparing soup for you and making dinner. She told me to get out of the kitchen,” Amy said.

Mikayla’s brows furrowed. Why would her aunt suddenly come over?

“Mikayla is back!” Matilda said as she heard the commotion.

She walked out of the kitchen. “I made wild mushroom soup. It smells really good. You can

have it soon.”

“Oh, I also called Jerome. He’s coming back from a business trip and will be home soon,”

Matilda added.

Mikayla asked, “Aunt Matilda, why did you come to our house?”

Matilda replied, “What do you mean? I raised you like my own daughter since you were

little. Of course, I’m here to see you.

“You told me that Jerome rarely comes home for meals. So, I thought of coming to cook a meal for you and invited Jerome to join us.”

Matilda never treated Mikayla kindly in private. The reason that she was here most likely had to do with the incident related to the Fanell Group.

Or perhaps she had heard about Eduard’s plan to change the management team at the Minito Group and came to get some information out of Mikayla.

Suddenly, the honking of a car was heard, indicating that Jerome had returned. Amy went to open the door for him.

Jerome came in while carrying a small box. Despite a busy day, he showed no signs

fatigue.

He looked at Mikayla expectantly, waiting for her to greet him.

However, Mikayla wasn’t going to lick his boot. She was reminded of their argument a few days ago. Thus, she ignored him and turned to go upstairs to change.

*Jerome, you must be tired from the business trip. Sit down and rest!” Matilda warmly

welcomed him.

She said, “I bought wild mushrooms and made soup for you. Drinking it can boost your Immunity. Jerome, you must drink lots of it!”

Mikayla found her acting extremely awkward. “Aunt Matilda, you’re the guest. Please sit and rest. Leave the cooking to Amy.”

But Matilda insisted. “How can I do that? It’s been a long time since you got to taste my Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

cooking. I must cook a nice meal for you!

“By the way, Mikayla, I’ve moved Jerome’s things back into the room.”

Matilda lectured Mikayla, “You’ve been spoiled by your grandfather. You shouldn’t throw out people’s things when you get angry. You can’t do that next time!”

Mikayla was speechless at her act and thought that Matilda was a very thick–skinned person. But she didn’t want to argue with her as she didn’t want to give Eduard something to worry about.

Mikayla went upstairs to the bedroom to change into comfortable clothes. To her surprise, she found Jerome’s clothes in the room.

Mikayla turned around when she heard footsteps and found that Jerome walked in.

“It’s more convenient to put them here,” Jerome said indifferently. “You said that your wanted to help me pick out my outfit. Well, be my guest.”

Mikayla found the situation ridiculous.

She used to imagine herself being a good wife, helping Jerome pick out ties and coordinate his daily outfits. But Jerome didn’t like the idea of her doing so back then.

He even stored his clothes in another room so that she couldn’t touch it.

Now, he voluntarily moved back to the master bedroom and asked her to coordinate his

outfit for him.

“What do you mean by this, Jerome?” Mikayla stared at him and asked.
