Chapter 22: Epilogue
Chapter 22: Epilogue
THREE YEARS LATER
Kyle's POV
I yarned, then stretched my hands out to reach for my wife, but she wasn't there. I slowly opened my
eyes. There were only a few times that I'd wake up and not find her beside me. Most of those times,
she was pregnant or went to check on the baby and it's being a while since she had to do any of those.
Normally Jaheel was the one that got her out of bed. When I wake in the mornings at six, I'd go to his
room knowing he's going to wake up at exactly 6:15. I'd play with him until 7 and then give him a bath.
Then we'd make breakfast for mommy, after which we'd go back to the room and Jaheel would kiss her
on her cheeks and shake her. She would wake up with breakfast in bed and that made her happy. She
hasn't been well for a few weeks. She says it's the weather, the change in climate. But I knew exactly
what it was.
She was pregnant again. All the signs were there. She was too tired in the morning to make breakfast.
She gets emotional for everything and I mean everything. Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org
I turned around towards the window where the sunrise was shining through. There she was. On the
balcony watching the beautiful view. I couldn't help but smile. She looked beautiful.
I quickly jumped out of bed. I put on my robe and went searching for my phone.
As I walked slowly towards her I took pictures.
Beautiful.
She is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, and It makes my heart swells up with pride knowing that
she is mine.
She was too caught up in the beauty to see that I was behind her. I slipped my hands around her waist
and pulled her close to me. I nuzzled my head into her neck.
"You scared me." She mumbled.
"Buenos Días, mi amour." I knew she was smiling when I said those words. We have been playing the
Spanish man, French woman game for a while now.
"Bonjour, mon amour." She replied, and I laughed.
"Como estás?" I placed a kiss on her shoulders.
"Oui, Ça va, et toi ?"
"Happy now since you're in my arms." I placed another kiss on her shoulders. She smiled, still looking
at the sunrise.
She turned in my arms with a bright smile on her face.
"You're up early this morning. Are you okay?" I bushed a stray her off her face.
"I got up to use the bathroom and when I was getting back to bed I had an urge to look at the sunrise.
It's so beautiful."
"Not as beautiful as you, my love." She smiled. She leans in and places her lips on mine and I gladly
accept. It was a small kiss, but It was beautiful nonetheless.
When we pulled away, she looked at me without breaking eye contact and said, "We're going to have a
next baby."
I smiled. "I know.
"You do?"
"Yup. I'm your husband. I know everything about you. I know when your sister (her period) visits, I know
when you are sick, I know when you are moody. I know everything." After three years, there was
nothing I didn't know about her.
She pouted. "I'm not moody"
I brushed my hand against her lips. "Of course, you're not, my love," I said in a little sarcastic tone and
she laughed.
"Okay, maybe I am a little moody, but you love me anyway."
"I do. Always." I smiled and look into her eyes.
"And Forever," she said returning my smile before she brought her lips to mine again.
