Let me worry about that
Maverick stepped out of the car and adjusted his blazer.

“I am going inside alone. Stay outside.”Maverick uttered and began taking long strides towards the building.
Danny bowed behind him and when he disappeared into the building, he raised his head with a sigh.
He got back inside the car.
He brought out a cigar and lighted it up.
He opened the car’s window and brushed down his face before shoving the stick in his mouth.
He’s got to be calculative around Blade now.
He’s very irritative recently.
A single mistake from one of the boys could have tens of them killed.
He shoved the cigar out of his mouth and winced at the pain that surfaces in his arm.
“I’m fvcking tired, man.”he gritted his teeth.
He took his phone out of his pocket to call one of his buddies.
“Hi, big head.”he breathed out into the phone.
He should have done this a long time ago.
It, however, eluded his mind.
“I need your help in finding someone.”
“I would send you her portrait now. How long would it take to find her?”
“Nah.. a week seems too long. How about three days, bud?. This decides my survival or death, bro. Do it for me, okay?”
**
“You are here?”a man scoffed as Maverick made his way inside the hotel’s room.
He sat down on the seat opposite to the man’s and crossed his legs.
“Why did you called me here?”he demanded, surly.
The man scoffed again.
“Oh, please.”he mocked and drank from the bottle of his beer directly.
“I heard everything. Don’t try to put on an arrogant air around me.”he quipped.
Maverick’s eyes twitched.
He let’s out a sigh before grabbing the drink before him.
“You must have heard I am in a very bad mood lately too.”he uttered and stirred the drink before taking some gulps down.
“But, the question is, do you have the right to?. Shouldn’t you be ashamed in..”
Maverick slammed the empty cup on the table, angrily.
The man flinched back a little.
“Sometimes,”Blade started and snatched the bottle of beer on the table.
He uncorked it and poured some in his glass.
“I hope humans can listen to simple instructions.”he completed and drank out of his beer.
“You think because a girl had s$x with me, I have lost my manhood?. You think because she stole from me, I have lost my superiority?”his hands tightened around the cup.
The man’s lashes batted rapidly.
Maverick scoffed.
“I’d suggest you open your mouth and tell me the reason you called me here.”
“I.. i–i wanted… to..”
Blade rose up from the chair.
“I will get going now since you have no word in your mouth.”he stated.
He turned around, ready to leave when the man spoke up.
“The drug.. what about it?. We have to..”
“Let me worry about that.”Maverick casts him a cold stare.
He moved out of the room and the guy ruffled his hair in frustration.

|•Closing hour•|
Katherine shut the system and yawned.
Damn. She is so hungry.
She packed her things inside her bag and stood up.
She walked out of the office with her bag hung on her shoulders and began dialing James’s number.
He picked at the third ring.
“Hey, Jammie.”she said into the phone.
“Hi, miss assistant.”he rolled his eyes at the other end.
“Well, I had the worst first – day at work experience today. I couldn’t even eat anything. So, I was wondering if you can prepare a very delicious meal for me. I mean, not as if you won’t prepare dinner before, but a little earlier today, huh?”
“What to do, though?. I’m feeling low on energy today. There are deserts you could snack on in the fridge. Better still, get a food in a restaurant on your way.”James replied.
“Noooo, Jammie. Your food Always taste the best.”she whined.
“Alright, just a simple food, okay?.”she pleaded.
“Sheesh. I am not doing this for you. I just don’t want a human dying because of hunger under my roof.”he scoffed.
“So, you’re preparing it?”Kathy beamed up.
“Whatever.”he ended the call.
Katherine threw a punch in the air and scurried towards the elevator.
She pressed the button and it chimes opened.
Her eyes grew out of their sockets when the man in the elevator raised his head.
Jace?!
She gulped down, nervously.
“I.. I.. will just get the next one.”she stuttered and stepped back.
He pressed a button and the elevator closed up.
Katherine scoffed.
He could have told her to get in though.
Not as if she would.
She got on the next lift.
She browsed through her videos on her Instagram page.
The elevator stopped on the first floor then slides opened and she got out.
She walked out of the company and waited for a cab.
A black sleek car whooshed past her and she cursed at the driver.
Another one drove and stopped beside her.
The window went down and Racheal’s face popped up.
“Hi, Kathy. Need a lift?”she smiles.
“Of course! Thank you.”Katherine giggled and got the door then hopped in.
“Oh, geez. Thank you so much, Racheal.”she breathed out.
“No problem.”Racheal responded and began driving away.
“You can drop me at the junction. I would trek the remaining miles to my house.”Katherine uttered.
“Well.. it’s late and I do not mind dropping you off in front of your house.”Racheal spared her a glance.
“It’s totally fine. You have to go home too.”Katherine smiled.
Racheal nodded.
She turned on the music and Katherine couldn’t feel any less grateful.
After some minutes, Racheal pulled the car to an halt at the side of the road.
Katherine appreciated her for the ride once again before stepping out.
Racheal drove off and she started walking away.
She got to the building and found a red car parked in front.
Well..?
Kain got out from it and waved at her.
“Hi.”
Oh, no.
She shouldn’t have allowed him know her house.
