Chapter 1023
Sylvia silently observed Mollie's face on the hospital bed. After a while, she withdrew her hand from checking Mollie's pulse.
"She has been affected by the Bewitching Soul Array."
"What?" Emiliano felt that he understood each word Sylvia said individually, but together, they made no sense.
"What is the Bewitching Soul Array?" Deangelo was also stunned. "Miss Andrews, this is the age of science! What are you talking about?"
He couldn't believe such words came from someone as reputable as Sylvia.
Not only were they confused, but the other two brothers were also at a loss.
Zechariah furrowed his handsome brows slightly, "Miss Andrews, my sister just drowned. What are you talking about? We don't understand." Sylvia didn't explain further. Instead, she began drawing a Break Array Talisman on Mollie's face.
A small talisman appeared out of thin air and then merged into Mollie's face.
Everyone saw a faint light that disappeared in the blink of an eye.
"Did I just see light? Am I seeing things?" Emiliano blinked and rubbed his eyes.
"I think I saw it too..." Zechariah was dumbfounded. These men, usually domineering in the company, were now questioning their own eyes.
"This is just a small Break Array Talisman to wake her up. The real array is in your swimming pool," Sylvia said, squinting her almond-shaped eyes. Based on her judgment, since Mollie drowned in the pool, it must be related to the array.
That should be where the array is located.
"Gentlemen... there's no need to panic. Sylvia is telling the truth. I have a friend's sister..." Clare struggled to get his brothers' attention. After all, he was going to marry their sister.
He was now their brother-in-law, even though he was a bit older than them.
He then explained Carley's situation to Emiliano and the others.
They felt like they were listening to something out of a fantasy novel.
"This is unbelievable."
"Yeah!"
Sylvia remained calm, "This is just an unknown field to you. Not knowing doesn't mean it doesn't exist. There were many arrays in ancient times, especially the Five Elements Arrays and other mystical arts... al of which are real."
The men of the Gibson family thought for a moment and understood.
If there were arrays in ancient times, why wouldn't they exist now? They must have been passed down!
They just didn't expect Sylvia to be one of those inheritors.
"Miss Andrews, may I ask which sect you belong to? I've heard that people with such skills usually belong to a sect..." Emiliano now looked at Sylvia with respect and caution.
"I belong to the Sackcloth Sect. My master was Master Newman of the Sackcloth Sect. Unfortunately, he passed away after imparting all his knowledge to me," Sylvia sighed. "I wouldn't deceive you. She's waking up."
As soon as she finished speaking, Mollie slowly opened her eyes on the hospital bed.
Her vision was blurry for a while before it focused.
Seeing so many people in the room, she was puzzled.
"Sylvia, Clare... why are you here?"
"Brother? Brothers? What happened to me?"
"My head... feels so heavy!"
Mollie struggled to sit up but felt her head was as heavy as lead.
Clare quickly stepped forward and helped her sit up, placing a pillow behind her back.
"Do you remember what happened yesterday?"
Mollie rubbed her aching forehead. "Yesterday... has a whole day passed? I remember going swimming, then it felt like something grabbed my leg. No matter how hard I struggled, it was useless. After that... I don't remember anything."
"Strange! I'm usually a good swimmer, but yesterday it felt like something was pulling me into the water."
"You were affected by an array designed to harm you," Sylvia said, her eyes clear. "Your swimming pool has a Bewitching Soul Array. This array is meant to confuse your mind and suppress your consciousness. You're just the beginning; anyone who goes near the pool will fall under its influence and eventually lose consciousness."
Mollie looked at Sylvia in confusion. She didn't understand.
Emiliano thought of another important question, "But... why would there be such a harmful array in our home?"
"We've always kept a low profile and rarely made enemies. Who would want to harm us?"
"Since Grandpa retired, our family has focused on business and distanced ourselves from power struggles." "This is too strange."
Everyone voiced their opinions but shared the same thought: they couldn't let this matter escalate.
No matter who was behind this, they had to find out!
Sylvia interrupted them, "You can investigate this slowly. The most important thing now is for me to break the array in your home."
"What are we waiting for? Let's go now! We're heading home immediately," Emiliano said impatiently.
Clare was still worried about Mollie. "Sylvia, you go ahead. I'll stay here with Mollie."
The thought of Mollie possibly dying silently in a coma terrified him.
Fortunately, Sylvia had come along; otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
"Alright." Sylvia nodded and looked at Mollie's still pale face. "Don't worry, Auntie. No matter who harmed you, I'll help you get revenge!"
Mollie was still confused. "Am I still dreaming?"
Clare smiled gently at her. "Let me explain what's going on."
Sylvia didn't linger in the hospital room any longer. She left with the Gibson brothers.
Meanwhile, Clare proudly explained Sylvia's abilities to Mollie like an NPC in a game.
After hearing everything, Mollie shook her heavy head. "She's amazing. She always has this convincing and almost faith-like ability."
She smiled slightly. "If it weren't for Sylvia back then, I wouldn't have thought of contributing to the country. We wouldn't have met either. Sylvia changed me." She had transformed from a spoiled heiress into someone responsible and accountable.
"This world is really small. I'm grateful that fate brought Sylvia to the Hipps family," Clare said emotionally.
While the couple whispered sweet nothings, Sylvia and the Gibson brothers arrived at the Gibson Residence.
The Gibson Residence was very quiet. Although it was a large family, they got along well, so there were no chaotic scenes typical of other big families.
As soon as Sylvia entered, she headed towards the swimming pool.
She could clearly feel that the feng shui of the Gibson family had been completely destroyed.
"Your family previously hired a feng
shui master who did a meticulous job. You younger ones might not know," Sylvia said, glancing at a recently filled-in pond. "That pond was meant to accumulate fortune but has been filled in. Whose
decision was that?"
"It always attracted frogs after rain, so some servants filled it in," Emiliano said thoughtfully. "I think it was first suggested by... the gardener?"
"Or maybe it was the butler?" Zechariah added.
"Oh well, I can't remember clearly. There are too many people in the house."
"I suggest restoring it," Sylvia said calmly.
She pointed to a small lawn not far from the pond. "That place is extremely yin and should be planted with sunflowers or geraniums, not grass or other yin-absorbing plants."
"It used to have sunflowers there, but the gardener said grass was easier to maintain..." Emiliano continued, "And there's hardly any lawn in our house except for that spot."
"So, it seems there's an issue with
this gardener?" Deangelo's face darkened as he called the butler. "Where's the gardener? Bring him to the hall immediately. My brothers and I will be there shortly."
The butler didn't understand why they suddenly needed the gardener but replied honestly, "The gardener resigned a few days ago. It won't be easy to find him now."
Deangelo hung up angrily. "Miss Andrews, the gardener has resigned."
Unconsciously, he had already started seeing Sylvia as their backbone.
"He must have fled after doing his dirty work," Emiliano concluded. "Tell the butler to try contacting him if possible."
"Yes, investigate thoroughly," Zechariah agreed.
As they spoke, they arrived at the swimming pool.
The water was crystal clear and the pool quite large, looking clean and tidy.
Sunlight shimmered on the water's surface.
Sylvia looked at the array eye in the center of the pool and sneered, "Such a crude array trying to destroy the entire Gibson family? Ridiculous!"
She effortlessly broke the array.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
Afterward, she set up a protective array centered around the pool.
"I've set up a protective array. Anyone attempting to harm your family will trigger it and suffer. backlash," Sylvia said coldly. "Now that this array is broken, its creator will also face consequences."
This is karma.
"Miss Andrews..." The brothers watched Sylvia's actions in awe. Her fluid movements as she drew on the pool... they didn't understand what she drew but found it intricate. Then the drawing merged into the pool... it was too eerie!
