Hesper told Ariana Wight everything. "Even though I made a promise, in such a situation, I couldn't

help Juniper. Furthermore, she brought it on herself."

Hesper nodded. There was no reason for Matthew to tell her that, so she knew something else was

coming.

Matthew hesitated, then continued. "No one is managing the branch in Genecity. I know that this is

unfair to you… but would you be willing to come back and work there?"

Before Hesper said anything, Renee scoffed and cut him off.

"Mr. Lane, you've always been nice to Ms. Rivera, so you should know how much that would hurt her."

Renee took a deep breath. "Ms. Rachael Lane is part of the Lane family and is important, so he asked

her to return to safety. Ms. Rivera doesn't have the noble Lane blood in her veins, so she's supposed to

step up and manage the company? Why? She's so upset right now, why should she go back and work

for you?"

Renee was agitated. Hesper tugged at her sleeve, but Matthew knew everything she said was true.

When Grandpa had found out that Hesper wasn't Rachael, he immediately removed her from Lane

Holdings even though she built the branch up through her own effort.

Genecity was in chaos now, yet they wanted her to go back…

"Alright, I'll go." Hesper didn't say more. Watching the branch she built get ruined in someone else's

hands hurt her. The staff there were her staff, so she couldn't just sit around and watch.

She needed the identity of Ms. Lane now too.

Matthew lowered his head in guilt, but Hesper smiled. "The Lane family gave me a lot. If I hadn't met

find a marrow match for Renfrew. He'll be alright."

Renfrew was very understanding. He didn't cry or make a scene when he learned about his condition.

All he did was look at Hesper with gentle eyes then reached out to touch her head and said, "Mommy,

don't cry."

Hesper signed the agreements to return the shares to him, so it just needed his signature. The

agreements were with Benji, so after he woke up, Benji handed them to him.

Looking at the pile of documents, Rickard rubbed his temples. "Did something happen to Hesper?"
