"There's half a minute to go," Benji said stubbornly. "You'll honor what you said, won't you?"

Carter chuckled. "What difference will half a minute make?"

"A lot." The doors to the conference room opened and everyone looked over. Hesper and Renee

walked in with subtle smiles under everyone's gazes. "Hello everyone, nice to meet you."

Everyone started chattering when they saw Hesper.

Benji sighed with relief the second he saw her. He was glad he hadn't given up.

"Isn't Mr. Wilson anxious to start the meeting? Now that everyone is here, let's begin." Hesper walked

to the end of the table and took the main seat. Even though Benji was surprised, he didn't stop her.

Lane, this is a board meeting for Duval Group, not Lane Holdings. You can't just do whatever you want

here."

"Yes, ma'am!" Benji smiled. Even though he didn't know who held more shares, Hesper's presence
