When Renfrew saw Hesper, he knew that something had happened to Rickard. He was glad to see his

mom after so long, but he didn't know if he should be under these circumstances.

"Daddy isn't in a good state, is he?"

Renfrew held Hesper's hand. She was silent for a while then decided to be honest. "He's been

poisoned, and it's hard to undo it. He sleeps most of the day, so he wouldn't be able to take care of

you."

"Yes." Renee nodded. "Ms. Rivera has a lot on her plate right now, so she wouldn't be able to spend

time with him. You're in charge of him now."

Jessie met Renfrew before and they had a nice relationship. She knew Renfrew was a genius and an

understanding child, so she happily accepted the task, but when she thought about it, she thought she

might not be good enough.

expected that and gave me a card. What do you feel like having?"
