Yuexi almost screams out loud and quickly covers her mouth with her hand. The man’s painful wailing echoes in the valley. He reaches out his hand to press on the wound to stop the bleeding. He says in a contemptuous tone, “Do you think you can scare me? We have just committed serial murders. We have killed a dozen. How can we be scared of you?” Li Fengjue pokes his wound with the knife this time. The man screams louder in pain. Then Li Fengjue asks coldly, “Where is she?”

“Ouch, I don’t know! Just kill me if you can, hahaha…” Li Fengjue twists the knife again and the man is rolling on the ground in agony. Suddenly Yuexi sees the short man behind Li Fengjue suddenly stand up. Holding a knife in his hand, the man sneakily approaches Li Fengjue from behind, in the headlights, the knife dazzling Yuexi’s eyes with its sinister glare. Then he stabs fiercely towards Li Fengjue from behind.

“Li Fengjue, watch out!” Yuexi screams out loud and rushes forward subconsciously. She hears them screaming in agony before she could run to them. Then Li Fengjue stands up slowly, covered by the blood. He is like the Lucifer from Hell. Yuexi slows down her steps and can’t think straight. She has mixed feelings. He is not injured. He is still alive…

That’s good. That’s good. Yuexi feels relieved. Besides, the long running exhausted all her strength. Now she feels herself like a deflated balloon. Now she finds her legs unable to sustain her body, so she kneels on the ground and looks at the front with a dull expression. Out of the corner of her eyes, she catches a glimpse of a car speeding by. With a sudden brake, Ouyang Mu quickly jumps out of the car. He looks around nervously and finally fixes his eyes on Yuexi. Then he runs towards her quickly.

“Yuexi, are you okay?” After hearing the loud shout, Li Fenjue turns around to look at the direction of Yuexi. There is a light in his eyes. Though he frowns, he walks towards her. Ouyang Mu has already come to her, taking off his clothes and spreading them on her. He asks nervously, “How are you doing? Are you hurt?”

He carefully helps Yuexi stand up. Seeing her clothes are all torn open and she has bruises all over her body, he looks hurt. He reaches out and wraps her tightly with his coat. Feeling his temperature left on the coat, Yuexi couldn’t help but shiver. She is just too scared and she completely forgets the cold. She doesn’t notice that she gets injured all over her body. She doesn’t even notice how torn and tattered her clothing is, and she is almost naked.

Her throat dry, she is still a little shocked. Li Fengjue comes over, his eyes fixated on Ouyang Mu. He looks cold, “Is this your new love?” Noticing his satiric tone, Yuexi ignores what he says and asks instead, “Why do you come back?” He turns to look at her, sneering, “You tell me.”

Yuexi shakes her head. She doesn’t know why he comes back. Is it because he worries about her? There is a sense of hope rising inside her. However, all her hopes are wiped out in the next second. There is no sense of warmth in his tone. He mocks her, “You are a woman who likes holding a grudge. If anything happens to you, you will blame it all on her!”

Hearing his answer, Yuexi is shocked. Then, she curls up the corner of her mouth to put on a faint smile. So how can he come back only because of her? There is only Li Ya in his heart and mind. Yuexi is just a chess piece that he abandoned and now she might be a trouble for his woman. He only comes back to her in order to protect his woman, Li Ya.

Seeing this man fighting for her, Yuexi was so moved that she almost forgets all the revenge. All the accounts with Li Ya can be settled! If he asks for it, she could spare Li Ya and don’t seek revenge. However, the last sense of illusion is now shattered.

Yuexi sneers and looks at him with fierce eyes, “You are right, if you don’t come back today, I would blame it all on her. But since you have asked for it, then I will give her another week’s time. Either she apologizes to me in person or I will destroy her little by little!”

The unhidden anger in his eyes makes Yuexi’s heart hurt slightly. Putting all the emotions behind, Yuexi straightens her back and stares at him fearlessly. Then, she takes Ouyang Mu by the hand and wants to leave. Suddenly, Ouyang Mu carries her in his arm. Yuexi gives him a surprised look. “You have been so injured. Don’t walk around.”

His tone is full of concerns and worries. Yuexi gives him a grateful look. She can feel the cold eyes cast upon them from behind. Until the two of them get into the car, that pair of eyes are still following them. Yuexi is placed in the back seat of the car. She lies down weakly and curls up like a ball. Because she is so tired, she falls asleep soon.

It’s unclear how long time has passed, Yuexi senses that someone is staring at her. She slowly opens her eyes and sees a handsome face right in front of her. She gets startled and moves back a little, but the efforts make her cry in pain. Ouyang Mu hurries forward and reaches out to help her. Then she leans back on the pillow behind her and looks around.

This is not her house. “I don’t know where you live. And since you sleep so soundly, I take the liberty to take you to my home.” He explains as he takes out a medicine box from the cabinet. Then he pulls her arm over and begins to apply some medicine on it.

“I can do it myself …” As soon as she utters the words, she feels her throat becomes so dry that it hurts. She has such a hoarse voice that it seems to belong to an old woman in her fifties. “Don’t say a word. I just feed you some water before you wake up. Wait for a moment then you can drink again. Now, I’ll apply some medicine for you.” Looking at his serious look, Yuexi nods silently. Then she looks down and finds her boobs are half-exposed. She withdraws her hands and hurriedly covers herself with the quilt.

Ouyang Mu smiles faintly, “You finally realize that unrelated men and women should not have intimate contact? We have already slept together back then.” “Can you tell the whole story? We are just lying together on the same ground!” Rolling her eyes at him, Yuexi says that in an unpleasant tone and blushes. “That man today…” Before he could finish the full sentences, Yuexi says, “He is Li Fengjue, my ex-husband.”
