After a long time, Chen Ying calms herself down. Yuexi pats her on the back and comforts her by saying, “I’m sorry, I made you worried. I slipped and fell down into the river, and my phone died. I am sorry I didn’t call you back in time.”

“Saved you?” Chen Ying’s smiles, her eyes curving into the crescent moon-like shape. She leans forward, the corners of her lips curving, and chuckles, “Are there any stories that I should know?”

Ouyang Mu takes a step back, and says lightly, “No.”

Seeing him embarrassed, Yuexi quickly reaches out to Chen Ying and pulls her back, then she looks at Ouyang Mu, and says apologetically, “This is my best friend Chen Ying. I hope you will not feel offended. She just doesn’t mince her words. This is the way she is.”

Ouyang Mu shakes his head, “It doesn’t matter.”

After saying that, he goes to the front desk to check in.

“This handsome guy saved you, really?” Chen Ying asks, her eyes closely following the man walking away.

“A crush? I like the word. I have a crush on every handsome man.” Chen Ying smiles evilly.

Yuexi suddenly thinks of someone that Chen Ying had mentioned before, and says with a smile, “Aren’t you interested in Li Fengye?”

“I don’t mean to say I’m not interested, but that it’s impossible for us to be together. After all, Li Fengye likes men. But this guy is different. At first glance, I know he is definitely straight. It must be particularly interesting to nurture him!”

Chen Ying says, her eyes beaming like a hungry wolf readying to attack a bunny.

Yuexi is just about to cover her mouth when she catches a glimpse of Ouyang Mu showing up behind Chen Ying. Yuexi is not sure if he overheard that.

She looks up and meets his gaze. Ouyang Mu glares at her, his face gloomy.

My God! He must have heard everything!

Stunned, Yuexi smiles embarrassedly, and then quickly pulls Chen Ying away from Ouyang Mu’s sight.

Chen Ying still doesn’t forget to make eyes at him, when dragged away, flirting, “Handsome, thank you for saving Yuexi, I will invite you to dinner someday!”

They enter the hotel room together. Yuexi is so tired. She takes a quick shower and lies on bed to wait for Chen Ying, so that they can have a good chat, but she falls asleep unconsciously.

In the dream, she walks alone in the darkness, and there is not a single person in sight, nor a single light on, as if she is the only one left in the whole world, but there is a voice ringing in her head that tells her that she could not stop. There seems to be a shadow behind her, following her step by step.

She falls into a restless sleep. She tosses and turns in her dream but just can’t wake up.

Chen Ying slowly climbs out of bed and looks at Yuexi, who is still frowning even though she is asleep. She couldn’t help but frown, and suddenly remembered the phone call she had received before.

Li Fengjue asks her where Bai Yuexi went? She was just on the point of scolding him when suddenly the phone was hung up and it didn’t take long before he called again.

Chen Ying is not sure what happened between them, but Li Fengjue called again after they got divorced to inquire about Yuexi. Does that mean he is in love with her?

She doesn’t believe in men, and naturally did not tell him where Yuexi was going.

It was his phone call that made her realize that Yuexi had disappeared, and then she quickly comes here.

Should she tell her about this? Will it have any impact on the relationship between them?

Lost in thought, she suddenly sees Yuexi’s hands stretching out in the air, waving frantically apparently in an attempt to seize something. With a thin layer of sweat forming over her face, she murmurs something unconsciously.

Startled, Chen Ying quickly pats her, whispering softly, “Yuexi, Yueyue, wake up!”

In a trance, Yuexi hears a familiar voice, and she suddenly opens her eyes and sees Chen Ying looking at her anxiously.

She breathes heavily, her pupils narrowing to slits indicating she gradually recovers from a bad dream, then she asks dumbly, “What time is it?”

“It’s only five o’clock, you should get more sleep. Don’t worry. You will be all right, and I will always be here with you.” Chen Ying tries to sooth her emotions. She says while patting her.

Yuexi nods silently, closes her eyes with a lingering fear, and grabs Chen Ying’s arm with one hand.

If this time she didn’t escape, besides Chen Ying, will anyone in this world remember her? Will anyone feel sad for her death?

It seems that there is no one other than Chen Ying…

Perhaps comforted by the thought Chen Ying is beside her, Yuexi quickly falls asleep again. Looking at her asleep, Chen Ying’s eyes dim, and she decides to hide the fact that Li Fengjue called her.

Now that they are parting ways, there is no need to get entangled with each other. Yuexi should start her new life afresh. This is the best end for both of them.

When Yuexi wakes up again, it is already afternoon. Chen Ying is not there.

She heads to the bathroom to wash up, and when she is just about to call her, she hears somebody walking outside the door.

“She is all right, but her body is a little weak.” Chen Ying says while opening the door.

Looking back, she sees Chen Ying and Ouyang Mu standing at the door. Yuexi apparently didn’t expect Ouyang Mu to come together. She only wears a thin pajama and there is nothing inside. The moment he looks in her direction, she yells and scurries quickly into the bathroom.
