Cheng Ying stopped the car at a coffee shop and dragged Yuexi out.

She hooked her arm around Yuexi and said, “Just like the old saying goes, you’ll hit the wall unless listen to the experienced.”

Yuexi’s lips twitched as she solemnly nodded.

“It’s was. I was too naïve. Maybe I should make up my mind.”

“Then we are really in the right place. This cafe sells not only coffee but also pig brains, which will help you nurture your brain.”

Both of them walked into the cafe while chatting and giggling.. Yuexi thought Chen Ying was kidding when she said that this cafe sells pig brains too. So, she was shocked when she saw that they sell pig brains for real.

Cheng Ying said to Yuexi after she ordered one for her, , “Your IQ is sending both of us to death. Li Fengjue has admitted that you are his wife, you can live a rich life with no worries.”

“I don’t care his money. I have hands and feet. I don’t need him to raise me!” Yuexi said with a disgusting expression on her face.

At her words, Chen Ying shook her head helplessly. “Since you don’t love him, why don’t you try to using him for your interests? Anyway, you are using each other. The most unreliable thing in the world is men. Right now, he still needs you, so Li Fengjue didn’t kick you. But if someday he is tired of playing with you, he will kick you away. Chen Ying suddenly stood up and waved her hand at someone. When Yuexi followed Cheng Ying’s line of sight, her heart tightened. Not far away from them, a man in a suit was standing with his hand in his trouser pockets. That man was none other than Gong Benli! It had been a year, and yet the passage of time had not left any traces on him. He still looked dashing as ever with his tall stature and starry eyes that could suck any women’s souls. He was back!

. Chen Ying had always been easygoing, but only in his presence would she show her tender side.

“Hi, Benli.” She greeted him familiarly. Yuexi quickly retracted her gaze.

Gong Benli walked towards them and said in astonishment, “Chen Ying? You have changed so much that I almost didn’t recognize you.”

Chen Ying smiled as she gathered her slightly curly hair behind her ear, exposing her delicate face. “But you haven’t changed a bit.

With a grin on his lips, Gong Benli asked, “Are you eating with friends?”

Chen Ying nodded and introduced, “Yeah, I’m with my friend Yuexi. I don’t know if you can remember her. Once you asked her to send me clothes.”

Gong Benli raised his eyebrows and glanced at Yuexi. From his position he could only see her back.

Chen Ying pulled her off the chair and pushed her before Gong Benli. Yuexi was caught off guard. She had thought that she would be flustered meeting him after so many months, but she did not expect herself to be surprisingly calm. The man in front of her was a proof of Yuexi’s youth. She had a crush on him for two years.

What are the odds of two best friends falling in love with the same man at the same time? Probably very low. But she and Chen Ying fell in love with Gong Benli at the same time. Both of them had different personalities. Yuexi admired him silently and secretly, while Chen Ying was unabashed in her pursuit. Probably Chen Ying wasn’t aware of Yuexi’s feelings for Gong Benli till this date.

Gong Benli was handsome and had an excellent academic record, making him an ideal boyfriend every girl dreamed to have. With his excellent academic background, he was sure to be admitted to the top universities. Thus, she and Cheng Ying burnt the candles at both ends, studied hard in high school, and got admitted to the same university as him. Every day Chen Ying used to follow him all day round while Yuexi pretended to be an invisible person. Seeing them together made her think that they were made for each other.

So, one day, she decided to conceal all her emotions and give them her blessings. But the very next she received a bag from Gong Benli. In it was a beautiful dress with a note attached.

That whole day she was on tenterhooks with unknown feelings swelling within her heart. But when she saw Chen Ying, all those feelings were replaced by a sense of entanglement.

Chen Ying looked at the delicate dress on the table, gestured it on her body, and enviously asked, “This skirt is so beautiful? Who sent it?”

Yuexi hesitated for a long time before whispering, ” Gong Benli.”

She didn’t had the courage to look at Chen Ying’s expression so she tucked her head to her chest.

But suddenly, she heard a cry. When she immediately raised her head in panic, she saw Cheng Ying crying and jumping in joy. “I confessed my love to him yesterday, but he left without a word. I thought he refused me. I didn’t expect him to send me a skirt.

Yuexi’s face stiffened.

She did not know what happened that day, nor did she know what expression Gong Benli had on his face when he saw Chen Ying?

After a few days, only when she saw Chen Ying drunk and shaken, she got to know that Gong Benli left the university and went abroadLater, they never saw each other again.

Slightly pursing the corners of her mouth, Yuexi serenely looked at the man in front of her.

Gong Benli greeted her with a polite smile on his face, “long time no see.”

Suddenly, a woman in pink came to them, “Benli, why are you here?” The woman was adorned in a pink dress and had a faint smile on her face. When she stood beside him, she naturally held Gong Benli’s arm in an intimate manner, and glanced at Yuexi and Cheng Ying while asking Gong Benli, “These two are…? ”

“Oh, they are my friends from college, Chen Ying and Bai Yuexi.”

The girl smiled and shyly said, “Hello, I am Ouyang Qing, and I’m Benli’s fiancé. We are engaged.” Chen Ying’s smile froze at her words, but she laughed and said, “You two really make a lovely couple.”

Gong Benli’s eyes fell on Yuexi, making her uncomfortable. Thus she quickly turned her eyes away.
