A Night's Mistake: The Besotted CEO's Obsession

Chapter 45

Chapter 45

Cynthia’s eyes were hazy as she untied her bathrobe, letting it slide to the floor. Then she perched herself firmly atop Liam’s waist and began undoing his clothes. The evening’s wine emboldened her. Normally, she’d blush and shy away from any of Liam’s bold advances, but tonight she was the one making the moves.

Seeing this daring side of Cynthia, a flicker of anticipation crossed Liam’s face. Even though he already found it difficult to restrain himself, his interest piqued at her unexpected spontaneity.

They were isolated in Regalian Garden because their servants slept in another building. They needn’t worry about prying eyes. Reaching for the remote on the coffee table, Liam pressed a button and the curtains drew shut, cloaking the living room in privacy.

Suddenly he felt Cynthia’s soft lips fall onto his. Liam was thrilled. Instinctively, his hand plunged into her hair, pulling her closer. The feeling of her lips, moist and eager, sent a surge of excitement through him. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.

Cynthia might have been emboldened by the alcohol, but her kisses more intuitive than skilled. Nevertheless, there was an allure in her innocence that Liam found irresistible.

He lost control, taking the lead. In a whirl of motion, she found herself beneath him on the couch, her hair tousled, a hazy look in her eyes. Together they explored, their kisses growing in sync.

From the sofa to the stairs and then to the bedroom, they left traces of love everywhere. It rained outside the window, with the pitter–patter playing music for the feast of love.

Cynthia opened her eyes to find Liam still in the room, watching her with an intense curiosity. Startled, she blurted out, “Why are you still here?” As she attempted to sit up, a wave of soreness

washed over her, with a sharp ache in her lower back reminiscent of having been hit all night.

Wincing from the discomfort, Cynthia struggled to piece together the evening’s events, her memory clouded by the alcohol she had consumed. This wasn’t a new sensation. Since marrying Liam, she often awoke with similar aches following nights of passion. Yet, this morning, the soreness was particularly obvious.

Cynthia glared at Liam. “What did you do last night?”

in a good mood as he was well satisfied last night. Seeing Cynthia questioning him, looking all confused,

he suddenly wanted to play tricks on her. He smiled slight you were all over me with great fervor last night.”

Cynthia pointed at herself in disbelief. “I was the one who…?” She stumbled over her words, too embarrassed to complete the sentence.

With a raise of his eyebrows, Liam drew her into an embrace, his whisper tickling her ear. “Yeah, you threatened to drain all my energy,” he recalled. Cynthia hadn’t exactly spelled it out that plainly, but her implications were more .han enough to excite him.

With Liam’s warm whisper tickling her ear, Cynthia squirmed. His words were teasing, stirring a flush of embarrassment that prompted her to burrow under the blanket. Her voice came out softly, muffled by the fabric.

“You must be joking. That can’t be me.” Her voice tapered off to a whisper. She knew her own tendencies when

drunk. Delilah and Hallet had made her swear off alcohol for good reason.

Last night she was feeling good, thinking half a glass would be no big deal. But she ended up with a potent liquor.

Therefore, even though part of her suspected Liam’s playful exaggeration, deep down she understood it wasn’t beyond her.

Lately, it had always been Liam to initiate tender moments in bed, yet Cynthia couldn’t deny that she was beginning to revel in his closeness. He seemed to have mapped every inch of her, his touch alone capable of igniting a fiery enthusiasm within her.

The shift from her initial reluctance to her current delight in these intimate moments left Cynthia blushing to her core, prompting her to hide under the covers.

Concerned she might be feeling suffocated under the layers of fabric, Liam urged, “Come out. You can’t breathe.

under there.”

“No, you go out,” Cynthia replied.

Liam knew that Cynthia was shy, so he stopped teasing her. “Well, I lied to you. Come out. I’ll check on you before. going to work.”

“No. You go to work now.” She insisted.

Liam sighed. “Alright then, just don’t stay in bed too long and remember to eat something,” he advised before getting up from the bed and moving toward the wardrobe.

As Cynthia carefully peeked out from under the covers, she caught a glimpse of Liam naked, pulling clothes from the wardrobe. His physique was impressive–tall, at a commanding 6 feet 3 inches, with a well–proportioned. frame, broad–shouldered, and toned in a way that surpassed many male models and celebrities she had seen.

Liam stepped back into the light, and Cynthia, wrapped tightly in her blanket, saw an array of tiny scratches on his back. It was clear they were recent, and she realized with a flush of embarrassment that she might be responsible for them. Unable to recall the events of the previous night, she blushed deeply at the thought.

Liam seemed to know that Cynthia was peeping at him, so he turned around while pulling on his pants. Cynthia’s eyes unwittingly caught sight of his naked pecker, and in her shock, she tightened her grip on the blanket, pulling it up to shield her view.

The sound of Liam’s laughter echoed from outside the blanket just before he came over, causing the bed to dip under his weight. The next thing Cynthia knew, the blanket was being pulled away from her head and Liam’s lips were on hers. Surprised, Cynthia didn’t react at first, allowing the kiss to linger.

Cynthia felt a warmth rushing to her core, her body going limp under Liam’s fervent kisses. They were both breathless when Liam finally halted, looking down at the seductive woman in front of him with a mix of affection and frustration. “Running that company is the last thing I want,” he muttered.

Startled by his words, Cynthia snapped to her senses. Sure, the heat of the moment was enjoyable, but she knew

that losing control could be draining. And she definitely wasn’t ready to overstay her welcome in bed. Gently pushing against Liam, she nudged him toward reality. “Time to get moving, you’ve got a whole company relying on you, Mr. CEO.”

Liam planted one more kiss on Cynthia’s lips before getting up. “Alright, I’m off to work for my honey.”

Cynthia’s heart swelled with warmth. The memory of him dropping to one knee and slipping the ring onto her finger the previous night was vivid in her mind. Now it felt like she truly belonged here, in this city, with Liam. She’d taken a huge gamble by giving her heart to Liam, betting on a shared life together. If it paid off, they would

be inseparable. If not, she knew she wouldn’t stay in this city anymore.
