Chapter 605 Mark Your Words!
Chapter 605 Mark Your Words!
Leigh soon pulled himself together and bent over to see Jessie. Though her face was a bit pale, she
still looked good.
“I could hear how harsh they screamed inside the room. I expect it to be a long process. But…”
It seemed to only take her less than ten minutes.
“Neither did I expect it to be so quick.” Jessie still looked quite spirited. She covered her face with her
own hands, “It was just an instant pain and then the baby popped out. All those doctors were laughing.
That’s really embarrassing.”
“Come on, there is nothing embarrassing. Thank god, you still look good.” His voice even started to
tremble while he was stroking her hair drenched by sweat.
“I even determined to give up the baby.”
Jessie held his hand, “Stop crying! You are a man! That looks really awkward.”
Leigh couldn’t help laughing upon hearing that.
Jessie was then sent to a private ward. As soon as she had her body cleaned up and finished some
food, Lily hurried inside.
When seeing her energetic face, Lily finally smiled out of relief.
Lily was rendered stunned when she learned that Jessie had a water leakage in the morning and she
was then sent to the hospital by Leigh, but in less than ten minutes after she got into the labor room,
she finished the delivery. So incredible!
“That was a really quick delivery!” Lily couldn’t help trembling when recalling the moment of her own
delivery, “I failed to have a natural birth because of the triplets. It even took me an hour to have a
cesarean. And you actually finished it within a few minutes?”
“But you got triplets at that time,” Jessie smiled and continued, “I got only one. But the time consuming Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.
really went beyond my expectation.”
“Where is the baby?”
“They took him to bath. Now he might be about to be returned.”
While they were talking, the door was pushed open by Leigh.
Evelyn came in with the baby after bathing him, wearing a warm smile. Now she looked totally different
from the horrible-looking lady in the morning when she slapped Leigh.
While stepping in, Evelyn smiled, “You look really alike your mom! So adorable!”
Lily stood up and smiled to greet, “Good morning, Evelyn.”
“Oh, Lily, welcome!” Evelyn hurried forward when seeing Lily, “Look at the baby! He really looks alike
Jessie, right? Oh, my sweetheart!”
The soft little baby wrapped in the quilt looked adorable and rosy. Lily couldn’t help staring at him, “So
adorable! His eyes look exactly the same as Jessie. That would be a tragedy if…”
Lily cast a glimpse at Leigh and smiled, “That would be a tragedy if they look like his dad’s.”
Leigh scratched his own nose awkwardly, unspoken.
Jessie suggested Lily to go back home as she knew she was busy dealing with everything including
her own babies. And she hinted at Leigh to walk Lily out of the hospital.
As he returned, he spread out his hands, complaining about Lily’s attitude.
Jessie sighed while shaking her own head, “Lily has been attached to grudge. I could do nothing about
it unless she takes the initiative to compromise.”
“But I didn’t mean to hit her.” Leigh also deemed himself too reckless as he recalled the past, “Because
of that, Louis beat me so bad that I stayed in the hospital for a couple of days. I still held no grudge
against her.”
Jessie grabbed a pillow and smashed it to him, “You deserved it! Get out! I don’t want to see you!”
So Leigh had to leave himself.
Three days later, Jessie felt much better. Since she didn’t like to stay in the hospital, she told Leigh
about it. They packed up everything needed in the afternoon and went back to the Tourmaline
Community with the baby.
Evelyn also chose to stay a few days ago out of her concern about the baby.
Evelyn selected a few servants and a nanny herself. Then she went to a shop with her friends to get
some clothes for baby. While shopping, she repeatedly showed off the picture of the baby to claim how
excited she was to be a grandma.
Of course, she did so in case the rumors that Leigh was a gay still spread among her friends.
After dinner, Evelyn stayed with her grandson for a while. Then she beckoned Jessie over and asked
softly, “Have you discussed with Leigh about the name of the baby?”
“Not yet. So would you mind?” suggested Jessie.
Evelyn shook her head and held Jessie’s hand between hers, “It’d be better to leave it to both of you.
Only when Leigh gets involved will he understand how precious to have the baby and how many you
have been through.”
“Leigh looked ghastly pale because of the scream of those pregnant ladies while you were in labor a
few days ago. He felt like rushing in to get you out.” While saying that, Evelyn couldn’t help chuckling.
Jessie also let out a smile, “When I got out of the labor room, I could still hear his voice trembling. I bet
he would definitely pass out if he followed in at the beginning.”
When Jessie was about to get into the labor room at that time, the doctor suggested that a private labor
room would be preferred if Leigh wanted to follow in to stay by her side as her husband. But she
refused as she was afraid that she would curse him out of pain.
But even Jessie herself didn’t expect it to be so smooth. It only took her about ten minutes to finish.
“You should let him witness how struggling you were so that he would be more domesticated.” Said
Evelyn with her eyes fixed on Jessie softly. Then she reached out her hand to smooth the hair falling on
Jessie’s ears.
“Chace has come to talk to me after you went missing a month later. I knew how much you had been
through. But I can assure you that Leigh was still kind from the inside though he acted willfully.”
Jessie felt like saying something, “Evelyn…”
“What has gone is gone.” Evelyn sighed as if she dropped a heavy burden in her mind, “I know you still
love Leigh since you chose to return. As his mom, I really wish him a blissful life.”
Tears welled up in Jessie’s eyes. She had no idea what to continue. So she just simply hugged Evelyn
tight.
Patting on her back gently, Evelyn comforted warmly, “Don’t cry, girl. Just be with him. If you want to,
you can have more babies to annoy him.”
Jessie smiled with tears, nodding.
Evelyn had told Leigh to get those tailored clothes for the baby as soon as they finished dinner. As he
returned, he saw Jessie sitting on the couch with bloodshot eyes. She seemed to have cried.
He put down the stuff he was holding and hurried over, “What happened? Why are you crying?”
Jessie shook her head, looking aggrieved.
Evelyn, who sat on the other side of the couch, cast a cold glimpse at him, “Can’t you tell what
happened? Every woman tends to get depressed after giving birth to baby.”
Leigh then recalled the scream he heard that day. So he was rendered panic upon hearing that. He
took out his phone to dial the number of Justin so as to call him here to perform a mental check for
Jessie.
Both Evelyn and Jessie were rendered amused when looking at his agitated face.
“Justin has his own work to do. Don’t disturb him!” Jessie stopped him from making the call. She just
came up with an excuse, “It was just because I accidentally bump my toe on the table. I cried out of
pain.”
“That must be really painful since you cried. Did you apply some ointment on it?” while asking, Leigh
place her feet on his laps and was about to check which toe she wounded.
He carefully checked her feet but found no bruise. Then he frowned, “I suppose we’d better go to the
hospital.”
Jessie shook her head and replied cunningly, “I feel bad after delivery. So I cried even if it was just a
mere bump onto the table. I think I will only feel better if you don’t stir up any quarrel with me from now
on.”
“Okay, I promise I won’t.” Leigh raised his hand to pledge, “If I dare to refute during a quarrel, I will be a
jerk!”
Evelyn suddenly glared at him, “Are you sure?”
“Yep…”
“You’d better mark your words.” Evelyn huffed, “No wonder you got Louis so annoyed. Now I can feel
the same. Get out and get yourself an apartment to move in tomorrow. I don’t want you to bother my
grandson.”
