Chapter 150: Battle Begins
-Rose's POV-
My eyes opened suddenly, my face against a pillow and my body buried under the covers.
A long pillow sat close beside me, recreating the feeling of not being alone.
My arms pushed me up from the mattress, my body not at all wanting to move from the bed.
I sat there for a moment my eyes which starred at the indentation in the pillow, eventually moved
towards the window that let a crack of light through.
Rose: "I can't believe it's been four days."
It might not have been a long time but it felt like it.
There was nothing to do, no information of what was going on and none of us had any knowledge of
when they were coming back.
My arms gave up and my face fell back down into the pillow, I turned and caressed the long pillow next
to me.
As I did so my mind went back to that last night we spent together.
The memory was hazy after falling asleep that night but I remember him carrying me back.
I can still feel the kiss on my head.
I remember my father and Elias talking before closing my door.
I could vaguely hear what they were saying.
My father's tone wasn't one of delight, and Elias he seemed to not show any fear or hesitation.
Of course, my thoughts went back to how I was able to get two kisses from him.
One I didn't expect but was quite passionate and the other sweet and gentle.
I can't wait for them to return. But in the meantime I sleep some more.
Mother said rest is the best medicine for keeping a beautiful look, so there's no harm in staying in for a
little while longer.

-Leon's POV-
It took us a few days to get there, luckily we didn't have to wait for the troops to arrive.
Once we got to the border we all entered and rode for Latis' royal castle.
Honestly, I didn't like having to be next to the man wooing my daughter all day.
But he seemed just as determined as I was and was ready to fight.
We didn't encounter any scouts or units before reaching the castle.
It was quite strange usually such previsions were always used but I understood once I saw the castle.
It seemed it was completely locked down and every unit and soldier was either standing guard or ready
for a siege attack.
I would hate to deal with any unnecessary problems.
I've never had to deal with a siege but Jesse's father Sir William spoke about how long they could end
up being.
Though this wasn't Humans fighting Humans this was a large army of demons ready for a fight.
It's been years since any soldier under me has seen true battle, the only things they have probably
dealt with were small skirmishes.
They all must be itching to use their swords.
Leon: "Soldiers, raise your swords, point them toward the enemy. Now let's blast through the walls of
this castle.!"
With a single command all soldiers pushed forward, the soldiers that waited outside the walls were
taken out quite quickly.
Some soldiers with mana pounded against the gates, the brick of the was a target to the attacks as
well.
Cracks could be seen but as such poundings, we're taking place, soldiers with arrows fired from the top
of the wall.
The ones coming toward me, Elias, and ones close by were taken care of, though I could see some hit
their mark.
Rocks, tar, anything that the people on the other side of the wall could find were tossed at the ones
trying to breakthrough.
What waited on the other side was the rest of the army, so many packed into the area between the
castle and walls.
I heard the crumbling of rock, large openings were made and enemy soldiers came pouring out.
I felt the itch to go fight as well, I could take out multiple targets at once.
Leon: "If you want to prove yourself, then do so by fighting beside me."
Elias: "If it means an end to this, then I'll fight anyone who poses a threat." Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
Leon: "Good.."
I smiled and my body dashed forward my hands each having their own blade.
Elias trailed behind with his large sword in his grasp.
