The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 1401

Frank scowled at the fawning Bode, snorting coldly.

"I want this lady as my agent," he said, pointing at Lydia. "Everyone else can stay away."

"Oh..."

While Bode was taken aback that all his sycophancy fell on deaf ears, he remained unfettered.

They handle plenty of bigwigs in this line of business, and they would usually prove eccentric or bad-tempered.

Still, they would not upset them for the sake of sales-in fact, Bode was still smiling even as Frank chased him away, "Sure, of course. Since you and Lydia are already acquainted, she will be ideal to assist you."

Then, he shot Lydia a look, who nodded in acknowledgement.

Having received Frank as a client before, she knew that he was countless times more reliable than Claude.Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.

Still, before she could reach Frank, Claude, who had been standing aside and studying Frank suddenly strode up between her and Frank.

"Hey, kid... tell me, is there something going on between you and Lydia?" he demanded.

Everyone in the room was left dumbfounded, aside from Mona, who was still wolfing down potato chips.

"What's that supposed to mean?!" Lydia frowned.

She never even had a boyfriend ever since she graduated college and had always stayed on her best behavior.

In fact, she only gave in because Claude was threatening her father, and what Claude said was clearly an insult!

"Come on, kid. Your acting is just so lousy."

Claude strøde up, looking Frank from head to toe, even flicking his collar in disdain as he clicked his tongue, shaking his head. "Why don't you put on better clothes before you try to play the sympathy card?"

"Play the sympathy card?"

Bode was taken aback. "What are you talking about, Mr. Dresden?"

"Yeah. Don't keep us on tenterhooks," Jane said, putting down the tea she just brought.

"Hmph."

Claude calmly took the tea and had a sip before saying quietly, "He's obviously Lydia's simp."

"What?!" Bode and Jane were both left stunned.

Lydia was left staring at Frank blankly too-whenever did she get a simp?

Also, how could Frank be a simp when he could afford two Maybachs at once?!

While Lydia believed she had the

looks and stood out in a crowd, was not

at the level where bigwigs

would break the bank forbishe

At best, she had a slight advantage as her good looks were more natural But even now, she could see that the girl beside Frank right now was prettier once she cleaned herself up.

While she did have admirers, many presumed that she had loose morals when they found out about her job and gave up.

There were also the rich kids or sleazy geezers, though she was naturally not interested in them.

Naturally, they were not interested either and just wanted some fun at most.

Lydia knew all of that, but there was nothing she could do about it either.
