PREGNANT BUT REJECTED AS A BILLIONAIRE WIFE

PHB 64

Andreas continued to stare at Lucas’ face, who was still standing firmly in front of him. The sentence his son had just uttered was still echoing clearly in his mind.

As the youngest son of a man who had been designated as the heir and successor since birth, Andreas did indeed show more affection towards his son. He fulfilled all of Lucas’ needs and provided extra supervision. Even from a young age, he had been molded into a great and responsible leader. Whatever it was, Andreas did it for Lucas’s well-being.

Even in the matter of a life partner, it was the same. Andreas intentionally sought the best candidate for Lucas, investigating every background meticulously, weighing their pedigree and worth.RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

Out of the many women suggested by his business associates, only Devina met Andreas’ standards and criteria. Besides, Devina’s father had been Andreas’ old friend, and Lucas himself had been friends with her for a long time. So, what else needed consideration?

Initially, everything seemed to go smoothly. The engagement party had already taken place, and they were just waiting for the wedding.

However, not all plans unfolded seamlessly. Andreas was certainly aware of that. However, he never expected his son to be so reckless, secretly maintaining a relationship with another woman, even going as far as impregnating her.

And now? He was willing to step down from his position just to cancel his marriage to Devina. He even intended to marry a woman he had just met.

Andreas was undoubtedly furious.

How could this woman, whom his son had just met, dare to interfere? She even threatened to sever the relationship between father and son. Should he still give his blessing?

“Could you repeat what you just said?” Andreas asked while continuing to gaze at Lucas.

“If Dad insists on not allowing Lucas to marry the woman Lucas loves, Lucas is ready to resign from his position.”

Andreas chuckled softly. He felt intrigued by what his son had just said.

Raised with love and provided with everything he needed. Now, just because of a stranger, he was willing to walk away.

“No need to stir up troubled waters, Luc. You’re lucky that your cheap girlfriend hasn’t been immediately fired from the company by me. Although if I wanted to, I could have kicked her out disrespectfully from the beginning.”

“What’s so difficult about giving your consent, Dad? What’s so hard about letting Lucas marry the person he likes and loves?”

Again, Andreas laughed. It seemed that Lucas’s words had no credibility in his eyes. Moreover, Lucas should know by now. His father had always been firm. If he said A from the beginning, he would always say A, not B or C.

“What did you say? Like? Love? I think you’re exaggerating, Luc. I’m sure you’re marrying Deasy because you feel guilty for getting her pregnant. Your feelings are human, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that the child in her womb is your flesh and blood, Lucas Orion.”

“Enough, Dad,” Lucas exclaimed with his voice raised. “How can I not be Lucas’s child if Lucas himself was the first one to sleep with Deasy?”

“Even if you were the first, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re the one who got her pregnant. Another man could have planted the seed and ended up being the father. Who knows, Luc? Maybe you’re being set up. Maybe Deasy intentionally did this from the start to pull you into her embrace. Besides, who wouldn’t want to be your partner?”

Lucas clenched his jaw tightly, trying to restrain himself from letting his emotions explode. His father’s words were really hurting him.

“Don’t speak recklessly, Dad. Deasy is not that kind of woman.”

Andreas laughed again. While Lucas looked angry because his father had been continuously insulting and disparaging Deasy.

“I’m not speaking recklessly.”

“But what Dad is accusing is all untrue. Anyway, no matter what, Lucas will still marry Deasy. No matter how.”

“No,” Andreas shook his head repeatedly. No matter how much he was forced, his decision was firm. “I won’t give my consent. Anyway, you have to marry Devina.”

Lucas took a deep breath and nodded. While keeping his gaze locked onto his father, he delivered his decision.

“In that case, Lucas resigns from the position of Quantum Tech’s leader, Dad. If that’s still not enough, just remove Lucas from the Morales family’s inheritance list. Or whatever you want to do, Dad. What’s certain is that Lucas’s decision is final.”

“Lucas!” Andreas exclaimed angrily. From the beginning, he had been relaxed, but now his emotions were also triggered. “Don’t act up.”

“Lucas is not acting up, Dad. From the beginning, Lucas only wants one thing. To marry Deasy. Period. It’s you who has been complicating things and making this discussion go in all directions.”

“Anyway, Dad doesn’t agree.”

“Lucas also doesn’t want to marry Devina!”

The two sons and their father continued to argue, exchanging arguments. Both were adamant, and neither was willing to yield.

“Alright, it’s up to you, Dad,” Lucas said, opening his final conversation. “But one thing is for sure, in the near future, Lucas will get married, with or without Dad’s blessing.”

Lucas turned around, preparing to leave. Before he could take a step, Andreas gave a stern warning to his son, hoping to dissuade Lucas from canceling his wedding plans with Devina.

“Make sure you’ll regret this, Luc. I guarantee your decision won’t lead to happiness in your life from now on.”

Lucas didn’t care in the slightest. Ignoring his father’s words, he chose to go. He didn’t care if he was made to suffer, rejected, or ignored afterward. Moreover, Lucas’s determination was unwavering. Even without the Morales name, he was confident he could live a good life with Deasy.
