Judy grabbed Lumma enthusiastically. “We are going to play a murder mystery game. Lumma, do you want to join us?”

“Enjoy yourselves. I won’t go.” Lumma just wanted to find a place to rest quietly for a while and think about how to deal with Diandra later.

Adam refused simply and directly, “I am not interested.”

“Okay. We’re going to play.” Judy dragged Anita away, who was stiff from fright. “Anita, why is your hand so cold?”

Anita didn’t reply.

Lumma and Adam were left in the relatively quiet corner…

The fear and bewilderment suppressed in Lamma’s heart were shattered by Adam’s

words.

Her nose was sore, and her eyes swelled. She almost shed tears, but she blinked quickly

to hold back the tears.

Her eyes and the tip of her nose were red, but she stubbornly refused to cry in front of

him.

Adam thought to himself that if he were her husband, he would hold her tightly in his arms and tell her that there was nothing to be afraid of with him by her side.

But he was just her boss, just her boss, and he would have never been qualified to hug

her in his arms.

“Thank you!” Lumma quickly concealed her emotions and thanked Adam.

Hearing her lighter tone, Adam felt much happier. He subconsciously stretched out his hand again, wanting to rub the bun on her head.

Once again, when he was about to touch it, he forcibly stopped his disrespectful behavior that he shouldn’t have.

Adam raised his head and looked forward. “If you don’t want to play, ask the driver to

take you back.”

“I suddenly want to play now.” The fear and anxiety suppressed in her heart disappeared, so Lumma’s depressed mood became better. “Mr. Hills, have you ever played a murder mystery game?”

“No, I haven’t played it, but I can have a try.” He seemed to have forgotten that he said

he was not interested.

Together, they found the crowd who were playing a murder mystery game. They were all Adam’s acquaintances, the brother and sister of the Hawes family, Judy, Simon, and

some descendants from wealthy families that Lumma couldn’t name.
